Original 1950s India Travel Poster
What we have to say:A travel poster for the Car festival at Puri India. This 1957 poster is not for the celebration of GM or Mercedes but is in fact for a religious ceremony, known as the Car ceremony, dating back to the 8th Century.
The Lord Jaggannatha is known as the redeemer of the fallen. Once a year he appears inside the great shrine at Puri to allow followers to redeem their re-birth by seeing Visnu. He is classed as the Saint For The Common Man, irrespective of Caste, Color, Creed or Sex.
This poster is in excellent condition with true vivid color, no rips or tears. It displays wonderfully and is mounted on linen.
