Suzana Rodrigues Biojoias. The items of Arte Brasil created by the designer Suzana Rodrigues, are handmade by the interns of Female Penitentiary of Brasilia, inserted in a social work that, besides reducing their sentenced time in one third of the worked days and paying them according to the market salary, gives the opportunity of, once they are free, getting a job with the enterprise reducing their possibilities to be back to delinquency. The raw material, Brazilian seeds are from non endangered species. 50% of the sales price of these pieces is donated to the Bravo Youth Foundation. The Bravo Youth Foundation is a volunteer organization which focusses on bringing activity opportunities and exposure to the arts to under privileged children in “Bravo de Serra Preta” in the state of Bahia, Brazil.
