1940s Youth Paddleboard / Surfboard "The Skipper"
What we have to say:
USA
1940sBeautiful handmade surfboard from the early 1940s.
Constructed like a canoe with a skeleton frame. The deck and bottom is made of Marine Ply which is varnished.
The nose is painted a bright yellow with "The Skipper" painted on it. This is a sleek speed-board from the 1940s and some lucky youngster would have been the envy of his surf buddies for owning such a rocket.
Deck and frame are in good condition. Bottom has splits in laminate and areas of cracks and varnish loss.
Amazing condition for a wooden surfboard almost 70 years old.
